Frequently asked questions :
What can I expect from the therapy process?
Therapy is a collaborative process between you and your therapist. You can expect a non-judgmental and safe space to share your thoughts and feelings, and to work together to explore and understand your concerns. Your therapist will help you develop coping skills and strategies to manage your symptoms and achieve your goals.
What happens during a consultation call?
During a consultation call, we will discuss your concerns, what you hope to achieve from therapy, and whether we are a good fit to work together. This is an opportunity for you to ask questions and for me to provide more information about my approach to therapy. We will connect for 15 - 20 mins over the phone and this is a free consult!
What happens in a typical session?
During a session, you will have the opportunity to talk about your concerns and explore your thoughts and feelings. Your therapist may ask questions to help you clarify your thoughts and feelings and may provide feedback and guidance. You may also learn new skills and strategies to help you cope with your symptoms and achieve your goals.
How long does therapy typically last?
The length of therapy varies depending on your individual needs and goals. I work long-term in case you prefer building a long-lasting relationship to best support your evolving mental health needs. I am also trained in providing short-term therapy using evidence-based approaches that create effective results in a short period of time.
How many sessions do I need?
The number of sessions you need will depend on your therapy goals. We will work together to develop a treatment plan that is tailored to your individual needs and goals. While some people may benefit from just a few sessions, others may require more ongoing support. We will regularly check in on your progress and adjust the treatment plan as needed
